HOW TO FIND GOD AS A CHRISTIAN

We find God by raising the standard of the Christian experience in four areas.

Jesus said, " if you want to be my disciple you have to deny yourself, and take up your cross daily and follow me." Luke 9:23;24;

[1] We have to become selfless in our attitude towards God.

[2] We have to become selfless in our attitude towards fellow believers.

[3] We have to become selfless in our attitude towards the world in evangelism.

[4] We have to seek after God with all of our heart, for Him to deliver us from the power of indwelling sin.

These four areas are based upon the finished work of Jesus Christ.

A selfless person will allow Jesus to be Lord over every area of their life. In being selfless towards God then we would get involved with His vision, which is the salvation of the world by the setting up of His kingdom.

In being selfless in our attitude towards our fellow believers we would be prepared to help, encourage and build them up sacrificially as we all work together with God in the setting up of His Kingdom.

We are to be selfless in our attitude towards the world by being the body of Christ to a needy world. Doing as Jesus would do by meeting their needs sacrificially. The secret of this is by allowing Jesus to direct us. For that to happen we need to find Him as a Christian first.  When we find Him, He will do everything through us. All we need  to do then, is to follow Him.
